I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the US shortly before my 21st birthday. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Nevada State College in 2007, and later on completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Nevada -Las Vegas in 2010.

Throughout my college years, I worked several paid jobs simultaneously. I was a nanny, a researcher in a microbiology lab, a scribe (back when very few knew what that was), and a paid note-taker! I shadowed a doctor who was extremely involved in the community, which opened doors for me to be able to have a role in her advocacies as well.

I attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine and graduated in 2014. I moved to Sacramento for my residency in Internal Medicine, which I completed in 2017.

I truly love inpatient clinical care, thus decided to pursue being a hospitalist after residency. I have stayed with UC Davis Health since then, fulfilling what was once just a dream!
